How to delete it

• In the Android app: open Settings, then Your account, then Delete account, and enter your password.
• On the website: sign in, open My account, scroll to Delete account, and enter your password.

If you have turned on two-step sign-in, you will also be asked for a code. If you cannot sign in, write to us through the support page from the email address on the account, and we will delete it for you.

What is deleted

Deleting the account removes your email address and password, your devices and their public keys (they stop working on our servers straight away), your sign-in sessions, your protection settings and your activation code. Your device keys never left your phone, so there is nothing else to remove.

What we keep

We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting law says we must. Messages you sent to support are kept only as long as we need them, and no longer point at an account. Our privacy notice has the full list.

Before you delete it

A subscription keeps charging until you cancel it, so cancel it first. If you subscribed in the Android app, cancel it in the Play Store app, under Payments and subscriptions. If you subscribed on the website, cancel it from My account. We will not delete an account that still has a subscription that will charge you again, and the page will say so.
